View of Addis Ababa

I'm enjoying a beautiful evening at the cafe at the top floor of my hotel in Addis. See all of the scattered development? New buildings next to slums next to fancy hotels. This city is fun and quirky, but the poverty is also obvious and they're in desperate need of a land use policy.

Weekend in Ireland

Just back from a long weekend with the parents in Ireland... We had a great time seeing the beautiful nature, crashing family reunions (of our own [extended] family), tasting whiskey, and drinking Guiness.

And Dad and I, at Giant's Causeway, where we met some very charming, and very drunk, Swiss-French old men, who were the epitome of jolly and could really carry a tune!
